When I saw children next to me, reduced to nothing but skin and bones, it indescribably broke my heart. The Adam Initiative was conceived.
I can't Walk By
When I walk on the streets, I can't walk by when I see someone who truly needs help; I would sometimes, but I can't, so I try my best even if it's just with a word. In Africa, this resulted in countless actions, with street children, with people in the displaced UN shelter, with starving families, and my neighbors and kids living in inhumane conditions. I always found something for them to do, like bringing me plants from the bush, to avoid making them feel uncomfortable. This is the right way you face your fellows, your brothers and sisters of your human race. You try your best, you don't turn your head away, you don't walk by.
